OPEN INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
to all undergraduate students of the University of Piraeus for the course “European Education, Research and Innovation policies”
This course is coordinated by the Jean Monnet Chair on European Union's Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies 2016 awarded by the European Commission to the Assistant Professor of International and European Studies, Foteini Asderaki in collaboration with the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Pantelis Pantelidis and President of the Commission for the Internationalisation of the Institution and the Department of International and Public Relations of the University of Piraeus, with the support of the Research Centre of the University of Piraeus. In this context, the course “European Education, Research and Innovation Policies” will be available during the academic year 2016/17. 50 students will have the opportunity to attend this course from all the departments of the University of Piraeus. The course will take place every Tuesday from 15:00 to 18:00 in the classroom 108.
The main pillars of this course will be the information and the presentation of all European Education and Training Programmes as well as information concerning opportunities of employment, research and innovation which are offered in the European Union and beyond.
Besides the analysis of the individual policies and their frameworks, the structure of the course will include specific workshops for:
The completion of european tools for the CV, the passport of languages and skills, etc
The European research programmes (ex. Horizon 2020)
The European educational (formal and non-formal), training, employment and acquisition of European experience programmes (ex. Erasmus+, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, etc.)
The European job search programmes in the fields of research and innovation (ex. Euraxess)
The European job search programmes in the EU (ex. Eures)
Finding funding sources from Private and State Scholarships
After completion of the course certificate of participation will be given
