The Jean Monnet Chair in EU Policies for Education, Training, Research and Innovation participated in the second networking meeting in the framework of the Jean Monnet “near EU” Network in Israel on 25th-26th of April 2017. In this Jean Monnet Network they participate the University Ben-Gurion of Israel, TU Darmstadt University of Germany, the Institute of European Studies of the University British Columbia, the National Center of Research of the University of Canterbury, the University Nanyang of Singapore, the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia and the University of Piraeus in Greece.
The networking meeting took place in Beer-Sheva, the seat of the Ben-Gurion University of Negev (Bologna Training Center). The participants were firstly guided through the impressive campus of the university. Then, the partners of the network discussed the course of the project, set the bases for the research that each of them will carry out, and scheduled their next meeting for October 9th-10th 2017 In Ljubljana, Slovenia.
On the next day, April 26th 2017, the 7th International Conference of the Bologna Training Centre of Ben-Gurion took place in Tel Aviv with the topic “Bologna Around the World – A Comparative point of view” in cooperation with the institute Konrad Adenaur Stiftung. Dr. Foteini Asderaki made a presentation on the topic “Researching the Bologna Process effectiveness: regime complexity and interplay”. The conference was attended by over 50 people, members of Academia and students from Israel and from abroad.
