The Jean Monnet Chair for the European Union's Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies and the Educational Policy, Research, Development and Inter-University Cooperation Laboratory participated in the two-day Thematic Science Conference titled "Insularity and the Blue Economy: A Pillar of Development, Innovation and Entrepreneurship".
The purpose was to hold a multi-level meeting, both scientific and practical, outlining the paths of modern island governance, the role of island municipalities and regions, the special role of the community and the initiatives taken at European, national and local level for the transition to the new era.
At the conference, held under the aegis of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, and in particular the Deputy Minister of Island Policy, Mr. Nektarios Santorinios, Dr Fotini Asderaki participated in the workshop on "Human Capital, Skills and Social Economy in the Islands".
