The Serafeio Center of Innovation Culture and Sports, hosted the “Teachers4Europe 2017-18” training seminar on 18th-19th of November 2017. The Educational programme was coordinated with the support of the European Information Center (Europe Direct) of the Municipality of Athens, within the framework of the "Teachers4Europe 2017-2018” action which is implemented by the European Commission Representation in Greece, the Educational Radio-Television of the Ministry of Education, Research, and Religious Affairs, the Laboratory of Education Policy, Research, Development and Inter-university Cooperation, and the Jean Monnet Chair on European Union’s Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus during the school year 2017-2018.

During the two-day training seminar which took place at the Serafeio Center of innovation Culture and Sports, the “T4E Ambassadors” of primary and secondary school education were privileged to attend interesting speeches concerning the European Union’s priorities and current issues concerning Europe, by representatives of the institutions and academics. The Educational training was attended by the Road Safety Institute which presented actions which are implemented by them, the Department of Educational Radio-Television of the Ministry of Education which presented Open Teaching Practices and Scripts in the 21st Century School, the DIKTIO which presented the programme “Idea: Are we all speaking the same language in Europe?” as well as representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism, who presented the programme “The Little Tourist- A suitcase travels”.

The aim of the action “T4E Ambassadors 2016-17” is the augmentation of the T4E network with trained multipliers/ambassadors T4E of primary and secondary school educational local level. The “Τ4ΕΑmbassadors” will support a series of educational trainings of the T4E who belong to the primary and secondary school education in their area. Then the teachers will organize schedules and actions concerning Europe in the schools and the local communities. Lastly, the organization of local events in order to disseminate the results of the programme was decided, as well as the organization of a scientific conference under the auspices of the Jean Monnet Chair on European Union’s Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies.
